Make a PNGtuber in your browser. Add a mouth-closed and a mouth-open image (or use the starter character), talk into your mic and watch it react — with blinking, a shout face and expressions on keys 1–6. Put it in OBS for Twitch, YouTube or Discord streams, or turn a voice recording into a talking avatar video. Free, no sign up, no watermark.
In OBS: Sources → + → Browser → tick Local file → choose pngtuber-obs.html. If it doesn’t react to your voice, see Using it in OBS.
Talk and the avatar switches to its talking image. Raise Sensitivity if it misses words, lower it if it reacts to background noise. Press 1–6 to switch expressions.
--enable-media-stream (add it to the end of your OBS shortcut’s Target). If you’d rather not, use the pop-out window.A streamer or creator who uses a simple 2D image as their on-screen avatar instead of a camera. The image switches to a talking version when they speak, often with a little bounce. Read more in our guide: what is a PNGtuber.
Add a picture of your character with the mouth closed and one with the mouth open (PNG with a transparent background works best), press Start microphone and talk. Adjust Sensitivity until the avatar only talks when you do. No download or account is needed.
The easiest way: press Pop out, then in OBS add a Window Capture source for the PNGTuber window and add a Chroma Key filter (green). Keep the pop-out open while you stream. Or download the OBS file and add it as a Browser Source with a transparent background — see the OBS section on this page.
Yes. Add up to six expressions (happy, angry, sad…) and press 1–6 to switch, 0 to go back. Each expression can have its own talking image. Keys work while the tool or the pop-out window is focused; browsers can’t read keys pressed in other apps.
An optional image shown when you are much louder than normal talking — the avatar also shakes. Set how loud you need to be with the Shout slider.
No. With only one image the avatar still bounces and breathes when you talk. A mouth-open image makes it look like it is speaking, and an eyes-closed image adds natural blinking.
Yes. Switch to Make a video, add a voice recording (MP3, WAV or M4A) and download an MP4 of your avatar talking along — 9:16 for Shorts, Reels and TikTok, 16:9 for YouTube or 1:1 square.
Draw your own, commission an artist, or start from our free PNGtuber PNGs with transparent backgrounds. Use the Background Remover to cut out any image first.
This tool doesn’t generate characters with AI — you use your own drawing, a commission or one of our free PNGtuber PNGs, so it stays free and private with no credits or subscription. Everything else (talking, blinking, expressions, OBS, video export) is included free.
Yes. Add it to OBS or Streamlabs for Twitch, YouTube or Kick streams. For Discord, share your screen or a window with the pop-out, or use OBS Virtual Camera so the avatar appears as your camera in calls.
No. The microphone, your images and recordings are processed only in your browser and are never sent to a server. Your avatar images are remembered on this device so they are ready next time.
